Tangalle is one of my favourite places in Sri Lanka: wild beaches and secluded coves make it one of the island's best spots and the ideal place to hang out for a week or more. Rural villages, fishing communities and friendly people make the area – which stretches west from Dickwella and east as far as Rekawa – even more appealing and its tranquil atmosphere all the better an aid to relaxation. But of course to enjoy any stay there you must choose a place where you can relax and soak in the visual beauty and kindly hospitality for which the Deep South is so renowned. I found that Kadju House easily lived up to this expectation .

THANNK YOU SO MUCH, for an absolutely fantastic holiday and experience; love what you have created architecturally and as an overall max relax space.Aton's chef skills are amazing; the array of food he served us throughout the day was beyond tasty, with so many different dishes at each meal, with a lot of requests from us for traditional Sri Lankan dishes, which he fulfilled, each time leaving us more than satisfied and only anticipating the next meal. The house boys gave us a 5 star service.

The minimalist approach and clean lines actually made the place very comfortable and we loved being there. The building is a fascinating design and really good to live in. We would have loved to have stayed longer. The staff were marvellous – Anton cooked up superb food and the other staff were attentive and courteous. The views from the lounge and pool were absolutely stunning.

I think the view is spectacular and there were not many bugs as there was a breeze being up on the hill. The staff were very friendly and got better and better as we were there, they tried so hard and this was very much appreciated.
